I've heard about this, but not yet seen it.
The Tattered Cover Bookstore has three locations in the Denver area, and this one isn't very convenient to me, but I might just have to take the trip. TC is dedicated to readers and very author-friendly. It's easily one of the best bookstores in America today.
Here is what one independent bookstore is doing to stay viable in a wildly changing environment:

Holy moley, Peg, one I didn't know the Tattered Cover did this, and two I didn't know you were a Colorado resident! How cool!
I love, love, LOVE the Tattered Cover in LoDo. They have a great coffee bar too. We go there often. Let's talk about a road trip.
Amazing! And it sounds as if they'll do your book if you provide the pdf or some compatible file. What an interesting time to be in publishing.
I think a trip to LoDo is in order. I wonder about the cost . . . have so many questions. Quite cool, though. And very Tattered Cover.
