Last night I hit 8,000 words for my new manuscript. It felt good to get there, but I really would like to be at 10,000 by now.
So far today, I've only added another 700 or so.
For my readers, I think you're gonna really like this new one. I'll be telling you a little bit more about it later.
For writers… do you set daily word count goals? Weekly? How do you make sure you're on target?
It's all better with friends.

Good for you!
At one time I set word count goals, but now I just muddle along and hope for the best.

Hi, Peg. I'm stopping by via Pat's CIR post for today.
I'm trying to be better about setting writing goals to stay on target, but some days I can't even find the target :-)
Morgan and Jenny, I know what you mean.
Today I hit 12,000 and where I'd really planned on being is 15,000. But today was one of those days where I had to just sit and put words out there. They might suck, but I made the effort. Usually they end up being okay, but it was a very bumpy day… an I need to be grateful for the 12,000.
