On advertising, one of my non-fic articles will run in a fall magazine and they've offered me a 1/4 page ad. I have NO CLUE as to what to do with it but I'll sure give it a good go!Lala Corrierehttp://www.lalacorriere.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3878752953637981313.post-52807104761369639382012-06-19T08:21:59.299-06:002012-06-19T08:21:59.299-06:00Ditto on Jordyn's being a great suspense autho...Ditto on Jordyn's being a great suspense author. And it's nice to see you here on Peg's blog, Jordyn. :)

I was honored to be one of Proof's early readers/editors, and boy, I had a case of the willies the whole way through the book. In a good way!

I don't think my e-readers (a Sony touch and a wifi Kindle with the keyboard) have changed my reading habits, although they've changed the way I turn pages, and to some extent, the Kindle has changed the way I buy books. I don't like to mark my books up so I prefer the highlighting option on my I-pad Kindle for that reason.

I do agree that an e-reader is nice for appointments. I like digital because it goes with me and I can have the book available in the doctor office or on the many trips I take for work.

I do like paper books especially when I am learning technical info and I can highlight.Marnathahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13075055727369777996noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3878752953637981313.post-18458930044031656442012-06-18T10:28:24.395-06:002012-06-18T10:28:24.395-06:00Hi Jenny,

I am honored by Peg's accolades on my writing skill as she is an amazing author herself!

I am like you-- I still like a physical book. There is something wonderful about the smell of a new book. Turning pages-- that an e-reader won't ever be able to duplicate.

If you like CJ Lyons-- Proof will be right up your ally. I actually interviewed CJ over at my blog: www.redwoodsmedicaledge.com. She's a great person.

Would really love to hear what you think of Proof when you finish. You can e-mail me at jredwood1@gmail.com.

Happy reading.Redwood's Medical Edgehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16058568644705726998noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3878752953637981313.post-82379206370026569032012-06-18T09:21:53.347-06:002012-06-18T09:21:53.347-06:00It doesn't sound strange to me, Jordyn, since ...It doesn't sound strange to me, Jordyn, since I'm a writer who doesn't have an e reader. I bought Peg's book in print--and will look up yours, too! (Sounds somewhat CJ Lyons-esque?)

Your conclusions are interesting, and I definitely hope that digital versions continue to approximate books rather than morphing more toward games with embedded content (including ads) and a story there as well. For me, I just prefer turning pages, and don't mind being, to quote Lelia Taylor, buried under books :)

I wish you the best of luck with your release--if Peg says you're an amazing writer, then you are an *amazing* writer and I hope I get to read your work!jenny milchmanhttp://suspenseyourdisbelief.comnoreply@blogger.com
