Wednesday Wisdom for Writers and Those Who Love Them

"I love deadlines. I love the whooshing noise they make as they go by." —Douglas Adams

It feels as if I've been working on this book for five years. Can I just say I'm happy that no contract was involved?
Sheesh.

It's all better with friends.

  1. :-) It will only be better for the time spent once you get it finished to your satisfaction. I'm looking forward to it!

  2. It's finally coming together. Part of my conflict has been the anticipation of the next book I want to write. Several people of told me to put this one aside and move on. To me, that's like saying it's not a good enough story when I know it is. Right now, I feel like finishing this one will cleanse me. Does that make sense? Like taking a good shower before you jump in the deep end. Because, believe me, the next book will be a very deep end. But I need to take this shower first...
