OT: Love Reflection

I am not an American Idol fan. But after looking at this clip, I might have to at least peek in from time to time to see how Chris Medina is doing and give him a thumbs up.

I've also considered how many people truly operate out of love. Faced with enormous challenges and life-disruptions, how many times does love win? And I thought about how many of those people (where love does win) we never see on television. People who just move quietly through their days being honorable, and fully knowing what it means to love.

Grab a tissue. Appreciate what you have.

CR: Everything but the Squeal by Timothy Hallinan. I was going to read something else, The Help, which has been in my TBR pile for ages. But I've learned something. If I have an unread Hallinan, nothing else will do.

It's all better with friends.

  1. I just saw this last night!!! Love it. Love him. I must say that most of the American shows I get out here do not show the U.S. in the most admirable light--specifically, a certain news station that shall remain nameless but shares its name with a wild animal of the feline species that we often see in the fields of Colorado.... Anyway, I truly respect this man and I hope to see more of him gracing my TV screen :-)

  2. I'm trying to think of any shows I watch here from the UK and can't think of one. Used to watch their mysteries, but not so much any more.

I'm with you . . . want to see more of this guy!

  3. Wow. You're right. What a touching story. Fortunately my tissues were handy. And he can sing! I hope he makes it. Thanks for posting this. I'd never have seen it otherwise.
